The weekend tour in the North of France
During the ten years we have been operating tours in the north of France, many things have changed.
The lanes here are being continually repaired and are in much better condition than when we started, which is good for the farmers, but not so much for us.
For several years we operated the "Tracking the Tank" tours, following the routes taken by the tanks during the Battle of Cambrai in 1917, until Jerry retired.
We have now incorporated many of the features of those tours into our existing tours.
The weekend tour normally starts on Thursday, and consists of three nights accommodation with breakfast in either the Bon Avis Chambre d'hôte, the 3* Hotel Beatus, or 3 nights (April to September only) at the campsite (no breakfast) at Honnecourt sur Escault, 3 evening meals, and 2 days Greenlaning, escorted by one of our Land Rovers.
Thursday you would travel to France, check into your accommodation, and then in the evening, meet at Lesdain for Dinner where we would all get to know each other.
Friday morning we would meet, normally at Lesdain, and escorted by one of our Land Rovers, we would set off for a days Greenlaning.
Normally the route would be up to 100 kilometers, and take about 8 hours, depending on the degree of difficulty of the route and the weather, with plenty of stops for photos, looking at points of interest, tea or coffee, and a picnic lunch.
On Friday evening, time to relax over dinner.
Saturday, we would set off again on a different set of lanes, returning for Dinner via the local hypermarket where you can stock up, should you wish, with wines, beers, hams and cheeses and all sorts of other goodies at prices considerably lower than the UK.
On Sunday morning its time to pack and head for home.

The standard tour is available with B + B accommodation 3* Hotel accommodation, or, between April and October, with Campsite accommodation.
