Off road tours for Quads and Trail Bikes

During the 5 years that we have been operating tours for 4x4s in the Valley of the River Allier and surrounding area we have seen lots of tracks which are not suitable for 4x4s as they too narrow, with bends too tight, but which are ideal for Quads and Trail bikes.

We have operated some tours for both Quads and trail bikes for several years for the French market but for 2010 we are extending the tours to the rest of Europe.

The format is similar to that of the 4x4 tours, based at the hotel in Villeneuve, and are guided "out and back" tours.

The hotel is a "hostellerie", which is an Inn. The rooms are basic but comfortable and all rooms have en suite facilities with either bath or shower or both. The meals are absolutely superb, with a 4 course dinner every night and excellent lunches.

There are workshop facilities and also a large "party tent" shelter to park the quads and bikes in overnight.

You will either come back to the hotel for lunch, or depending on the weather and the routes chosen, will picnic at lunchtime. If you are out for the whole day, one of our Land Rovers will meet you at lunchtime, with the lunch and also fuel supplies for those who need them.

The format of the tours is similar to that for the 4x4s. You arrive in Villeneuve late Sunday afternoon, and after checking into your rooms we meet for drinks and dinner. Then on the Monday morning we start exploring the hundreds of kilometres of lanes in the area, either returning for lunch or having a picnic, or possibly stopping at a restaurant out on the lanes.

This continues though the week, though most groups take a rest day on Wednesday, and take the opportunity to explore the interesting villages and towns in the area.
